INTERVIEW AND TRAINING DATES

The interview dates for this position will be held in person on the 17th and 18th of April in Miami, Florida. Please be prepared to bring your qualifying documents to the interview: unrestricted ATP; medical certificate; radio teletype license; and documents allowing for travel in and out of the United States without restriction.

Training dates for successful candidates will be as early as May 2024.

WORK LOCATION

This position has the choice of domicile in Honolulu, Hawaii, or Miami, Florida.

SALARY

The position pays $96.69 per hour with a minimum of 65 hours per month starting with training.

SUMMARY

The B-767 First Officer represents Northern Air Cargo and is responsible for the safe transportation of freight and mail throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and South America while representing the company as an ambassador of positivity. As a vital team member of Northern Air Cargo you will be at the forefront of our success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Captain in the most efficient manner possible, as the Second-In-Command, to ensure the preparation for and completion of the flight is in accordance with the CFRs and company policies and procedures.
  • Ascertains the aircraft has been loaded and secured for flight as per guidance from the Captain.
  • Prepares and maintains flight logs, charts, reports, etc, as required.
  • Possesses, and keeps current the required licenses and documents for flight(s) to be performed.
  • Assumes the duties and responsibilities of the captain (Pilot-in-Command) until the aircraft arrives at the next point of landing in the event the captain becomes incapacitated in flight.
  • With safety as the focus, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in the required tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Captain, Chief Pilot, or the Director of Operations.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Valid FAA ATP Certificate including Multi-Engine Rating, and First Class Medical Certificate.
  • 1000 hours in multi-engine turbojet is preferred.
  • Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification is required.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Current and valid U.S. passport, U.S. residency, or work authorization (without sponsorship) with the ability to travel in-and-out of the United States without restriction.
  • Fluent in the English language (IAW FAR 61.151).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as government regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, customers, station agents, and air traffic control personnel.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check to include drug screening and PRIA checks according to DOT/FAA standards.
  • Complete required Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards (ETOPS) training.
