About the Role
We’re growing and looking for a National Account Manager with freight brokerage experience to convert qualified inbound shipper leads into active customers and expand those accounts over time. This role manages the full sales cycle from discovery through close and works closely with operations to ensure successful execution across Truckload (TL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), and additional modes.

What You’ll Do

Receive qualified inbound leads and manage the full sales cycle from qualification through close

Conduct discovery to understand shipper freight profiles, lanes, service expectations, and pricing needs

Present multi-mode transportation solutions including TL, LTL, flatbed, heavy haul, intermodal, and temperature-controlled

Lead pricing strategy, rate negotiations, and contract discussions to close profitable business

Own onboarding and account handoff, ensuring smooth transition to operations

Serve as the primary point of contact for newly closed or assigned national accounts

Partner with carrier sales/operations to secure capacity and ensure service performance

Identify opportunities to expand wallet share through additional lanes, modes, and volume

Monitor service levels, performance KPIs, and margin expectations

Conduct regular customer check-ins and business reviews to strengthen relationships

Maintain CRM documentation, pipeline forecasts, and reporting
Requirements

2+ years experience in non-asset 3PL or freight brokerage (required)

Proven experience closing shipper business and converting qualified leads into active customers

Strong understanding of TL and LTL brokerage operations; flatbed, heavy haul, intermodal, or temperature-controlled preferred

Ability to manage pricing, margins, and service expectations across accounts and lanes

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Operational awareness and ability to translate needs into executable freight solutions

Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously

Experience with CRM and TMS systems
