Role Overview The National Accounts Lead Director, Clinical Program Consultant (CPC) serves as consultative strategic partner who reviews clinical data and trends, evaluates clinical program effectiveness, and identifies clinical cost drivers. The CPC leader partners with business owners to optimize strategic objectives, including profitable growth and improved organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities Lead a team of approximately 7–8 Clinical Program Consultants. Provide day‑to‑day oversight of the team’s customer‑facing work. Set priorities for the work, ensuring that appropriate resources are aligned to the needs of Field partners and their customers. Collaborate effectively with Field leaders to understand their business retention and growth objectives and tailor CPC support. Coach and develop team members to maximize their potential. Work directly with customers in a strategic advisory role, as needed. Collaborate with Aetna National Accounts Field Sales and Service staff to identify customers who may benefit from Aetna’s medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, and disability clinical management programs. Proactively evaluate and analyze medical, pharmacy, behavioral health, and disability trend drivers, proposing clinical programs or improvements to manage these trends for the book of business. Consult with clients on employee‑base trends, tailoring effective cost‑management strategies. Seek to maximize clinical and financial outcomes for customers from the clinical programs and/or improvements recommended. Identify and help rectify clinical program gaps at customers using Aetna clinical management programs, ensuring best‑in‑class member management. Manage a variety of changing projects and priorities, mitigating negative outcomes arising from market dynamics and competitive landscape shifts. Serve as a key resource on all clinical programs to Aetna National Accounts. Evaluate performance through regular, timely feedback to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development. Required Qualifications 7+ years experience in healthcare industry, well‑being, healthcare consulting, client reporting, and analytics, clinical operations and business management. Minimum 7+ years of diverse clinical and well‑being experience. Ability to lead and collaborate across teams. Prior experience managing and/or leading teams. Preferred Qualifications Un‑restricted RN/LCSW license. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Pay Range $100,000.00 – $231,540.00 The typical pay range for this role represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above, and includes an award target in the company’s equity award program. Benefits This full‑time position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the physical, emotional, and financial well‑being of colleagues and their families.
