Immediate.NET Developer Opportunity Immediate need for a.NET Developer for a position in the Cable Industry. This is a 06+ month's contract to Perm opportunity with long-term potential located in Atlanta, GA. Please review the job description below: Key Responsibilities: Implement software changes in C#, HTML, and JavaScript (or other languages when applicable) using Visual Studio Implement meaningful unit tests to cover major application logic Create, document, and execute scenario-based tests for application changes Work with senior team members to incorporate data access and other services into applications Report status updates to leadership via software processes as statuses change Create design documentation to detail implementation of business requirements via software Design, document, implement, and test simple reports using SQL Server Reporting Services Create, consume, and test web services using C#, WCF, and soapUI Create data access layers using the Entity Framework and C# Use lambda expressions with C# to simply application code Troubleshoot application bugs using Visual Studio, diagnostic log analysis, and SysInternals tools Report status updates to leadership via software processes as statuses change Create rich user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (both with WebForms and with the MVC Framework) ASP NET Design, document, and implement complex or large OLTP and OLAP SQL Server 2008 or 2012 databases using documented best practices. Conduct load testing and runtime analysis of applications using Visual Studio Troubleshoot application server issues using diagnostic log analysis and SysInternals tools Utilize dependency injection frameworks to build highly testable and extensible applications. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major 5+ years of professional application development experience Professional experience using at least one major source control provider Professional experience building.NET 2.0 or 4.0 applications with Visual Studio 2010, 2012, or 2013 Professional experience building applications using C#, HTML, and JavaScript Professional experience consuming data access layers and web services using C# Substantial knowledge of CLR fundamentals (IL, garbage collection, reflection, generics, and COM and native code interoperability) Professional experience designing, documenting, implementing, and testing moderately large ETL processes (involving tables with hundreds of thousands to millions of records) Professional experience debugging applications with and without the use of debuggers, symbols, and source code Professional experience designing, documenting, consuming, and testing web services with C# and WCF Professional experience with soapUI or other similar tools Professional experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery) Professional experience with one or more unit testing frameworks Professional experience using T-SQL and distributed transactions Professional experience using the Entity Framework and C# to build data access layers Professional experience using lambda expressions with C# to simplify application code Professional experience building applications for development and deployment across multiple environments.
