If yes, then read on… The Network Administrator holds a pivotal role in the conception, execution, and upkeep of robust server and network systems, guaranteeing optimal performance, security, and accessibility. This position encompasses leading remediation efforts, offering guidance and mentorship to support staff, delivering advanced technical assistance to colleagues, and developing business continuity endeavors. The position aids Network Architects in project implementation tasks as directed. It is responsible for promptly addressing service outages and infrastructure issues, regardless of standard business hours, showcasing exceptional technical expertise, a high degree of autonomy, adept problem‑solving prowess, and strong decision‑making acumen. Key Responsibilities Advanced Systems Administration: Applies advanced knowledge and experience to configure, manage, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Develop and implement business continuity plans to ensure network and server systems’ resilience against potential disruptions or disasters. Use scripting to automate tasks and increase efficiencies. Network Administration: Understand network administration principles, including LAN/WAN management, firewall configuration, VPN setup, and network security protocols. Server Administration: Proficiency administering various server platforms such as Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper‑V. IT Security: Strong understanding of IT security best practices, specifically access control, data protection, encryption methods, vulnerability assessments, and incident response procedures. Cloud Technologies: Ability to administer services running in cloud computing platforms, including cloud‑based infrastructure deployment, management, and optimization. Troubleshooting Expertise: Quickly diagnose and resolve complex network and server‑related issues across multiple systems and platforms. Documentation and Reporting: Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, and generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical assistance to support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. 24/7 Availability: Promptly address service outages and infrastructure issues even outside standard business hours. Collaboration with Network Architects: Assist Network Architects in project implementation tasks as directed, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration to align network infrastructure with technological advancements. Schedule & Working Arrangement Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. This position will be a hybrid model, both in person and remote, with a minimum onsite expectation of 40% or as needed. Qualifications Education: Associates in Management Information Systems (required) or Bachelors in Management Information Systems with 5 to 7 years’ experience supporting and administering network infrastructure systems; or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Certifications: Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT); CompTIA Network+; CompTIA Security+; Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP); Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA); VMware VCP‑DTM. Other duties as assigned.
