Network Infrastructure & Operations

  • Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud-connected environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security across all network systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and lead root-cause analysis for outages or performance degradation.
  • Manage switches, routers, access points, and network monitoring tools.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Serve as a frontline defender against cyber threats through proactive security design and monitoring.
  • Implement and manage network security controls including IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, and zero-trust principles.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Lead incident response efforts related to network-based security events.

Firewall & WatchGuard Administration

  • Own firewall architecture and security policy design across all locations.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize WatchGuard firewalls(certification required).
  • Maintain VPN tunnels, traffic filtering, intrusion prevention, and logging.
  • Ensure firewall rules align with compliance, security, and business needs.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure network and security practices comply with internal policies and external regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc., as applicable).
  • Maintain documentation, diagrams, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.

Monitoring, Optimization & Reporting

  • Implement monitoring and alerting tools to detect performance or security issues in real time.
  • Analyze logs, traffic patterns, and threat intelligence to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide leadership with security posture updates and actionable recommendations.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with IT leadership, application teams, and operations to align infrastructure with business goals.
  • Mentor junior IT staff on networking and security best practices.
  • Contribute to long-term infrastructure and cybersecurity roadmap planning.

Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and infrastructure support.
  • Strong background in-network security and cybersecurity operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise firewall environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.

Certifications (Required / Strongly Preferred)

  • WatchGuard Firewall Certification(required).
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as:
  • CISSP, CISM, or Security+
  • CCNA / CCNP (Security or Enterprise)
  • Network+ (minimum baseline)

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access).
  • IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and network monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments).
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience and certifications.
