Position Summary:
Join the team as a Workstation Specialist, providing advanced PC installation, troubleshooting, and support services across multiple offices and remote locations. You will work closely with Delivery Center IT staff to support end-users, ensuring seamless IT operations across region.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals in network and stand-alone environments.
- Provide Tier 2 support for workstation requests, issue resolution, and ticketing system updates (e.g., Remedy).
- Support multifunction printers, mobile iOS devices, and network diagnostics software.
- Manage and maintain accurate equipment inventory.
- Perform premise cabling tasks, including Cat5e/6 cable installations and terminations.
- Document technical processes, update procedures, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Travel within the assigned region to facilities, construction sites, and stockpiles to provide support.
Travel Requirements:
- Base Location: Clearfield, PA .
- Tools & Equipment: Candidate must use a personal vehicle for travel and transport IT equipment (e.g., computers, monitors, printers).
- Occasional overnight travel for training or assistance in other districts may be required.
- Travel expenses will follow policies.
- Experience (2+ years in the following):
- Installing and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in LAN/WAN environments.
- Supporting laptops, docking stations, and multifunction printers.
- Using ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy).
- Performing premise cabling tasks (Cat5e/6 installation and terminations).
- Certifications/Skills:
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, RDP, MS Windows, and SCCM.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills (Preferred):
- Cisco VPN router installation and support.
- Experience with Active Directory, Hyena System Management Software, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Project management or leadership experience.
- Ability to read architectural and electrical blueprints for facility upgrades or construction projects.
