Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, and network automation, who thrives in a dynamic and highly available infrastructure environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems that support mission‑critical operations. Job#: 2087559 Duration: 12 months Location: Onsite in Redmond, WA Pay Rate: $44 – $59 hourly Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure. Configure and troubleshoot IP protocols (IPv4/IPv6) and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. Manage and support routing and switching platforms including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, and Juniper SRX/QFX/MX. Perform advanced network analysis and troubleshooting using tools like Netflow, SNMP, and syslog. Support and optimize network services including LAN/WAN Ethernet, MSTP, VRRP, GSLB, anycast, multicast, MPLS, VPN, IPSEC, and TACACS. Maintain core network technologies including TCP/IP, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Perl, or Bash. Collaborate with cloud teams to support AWS networking using Terraform or CDK. Participate in an on‑call rotation and work flexible hours as needed. Lead process improvements and identify opportunities for operational enhancements. Required Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in network engineering. Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals and TCP/IP stack across layers 1–4. Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix environments. At least 2 years of experience with major internet routing protocols. At least 1 year of experience in network automation scripting. Experience designing and supporting highly available networks. Familiarity with packet forwarding architectures and modern network design. Proven experience with IPv6/IPv4 implementations. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE. Experience in hybrid cloud environments and cloud‑native networking.
