We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, and VPN).
  • Plan and implement new network solutions and improvements to the existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with system architects and IT teams to align network design with business goals.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, including software and firmware upgrades, and hardware replacements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams for network-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, security protocols, and other measures to protect the organization's networks.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and perform regular network security audits.
  • Respond to and manage network security breaches or incidents.
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and records for configuration changes and network inventory.
  • Implement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure performance and availability.
  • Analyze network usage and optimize resources for improved performance and cost efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system scalability and reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Train IT staff and provide guidance on network operations and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar devices.
  • Experience with network security tools, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS).
  • Experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in IT infrastructure.
  • Experience working with cloud networking environments (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
