Network Engineer Apply
Overview Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Network Engineer within the Department of Administration – Information Technology Division. Responsibilities Design, build, and implement secure network and server systems across the enterprise. Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize local, wide, and community area network connections (including City of Chippewa), servers, phone system, associated operating systems and software and communication links. Responsible for Chippewa County and City of Chippewa Falls computer network security and ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory guidelines regarding protection of sensitive data. Troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. Analyze and resolve end‑user hardware, software, and network problems and provide end‑user training as required. Lead Network Analyst, Programmer Analyst, and System Analyst personnel for guidance on projects, prioritization, and decision making. Provide responsive, courteous and efficient services to county residents and the general public. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of computer networking experience including project management and system analysis; OR Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field with a minimum of six (6) years of computer networking experience including project management and systems analysis. Required: Cisco experience; Preferred: virtualization experience with Hyper‑V, cyber security experience, cell phone and valid driver’s license.
