About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and maintaining cutting-edge network solutions that power business operations and innovation. You will oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade networks, ensuring security, performance, and reliability across all systems. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver impactful IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and performance optimizations to support business growth.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams and SOPs.
  • Monitor and manage network infrastructure to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and administer advanced network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patches, and configuration adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving connectivity, latency, and security.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for network incidents and collaborate closely with IT teams for cross-functional solutions.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks or security risks.
  • Implement strong network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, audits, and risk analyses to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Lead or contribute to major network initiatives, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with other teams to design infrastructure supporting new applications and technologies.
  • Stay current with emerging networking trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance network reliability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in network engineering, with proven success in designing and managing large-scale enterprise networks.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
    • Proficiency with enterprise networking hardware, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
    • Strong grasp of network security technologies such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Zscaler.
    • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, Wireshark).
    • Familiarity with cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced networking credentials.
  • Technologies: SD-WAN, Wireless, Meraki, ISE, switches, and routers.
