Requirements

  • An associate's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting/designing large enterprise networks.
  • Hands-on experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPC, STP, MLag, VRF, IPv4 subnetting, VSS, IGMP, PIM, Anycast-RP, MSDP, 802.1x, TACACS+, SYSLOG, Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, Cisco EVPN, IPSec tunnels.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to finish the mission.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 40lbs.
  • Occasional use of cleanroom gear (head to toes), and PPE in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting/designing large enterprise networks.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform network lifecycle management.
  • Design, implement, manage, troubleshoot and support of hundreds of critical network devices (Cisco switches, routers, PAN firewalls, Cisco wireless controller and access points, etc.) in a fast pace environment at a critical manufacturing facility.
  • Process and assist with system requests/tickets, which include: defining solutions for internal customers, planning, preparation, deployment, implementation, monitoring, documentation.
  • Responsible to plan and execute multiple projects related to infrastructure expansion, replacement, upgrades (HW/SW), etc.
  • Proactively monitor network performance, report/escalate as appropriate, and follow up on the issue until resolution meeting internal SLA.
  • Perform network audits ensuring implementation and configurations meet Company standards, plan, and implement corrections.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Level of Support in the resolution of network incidents and/or complex network troubleshooting, providing guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Review, provide feedback, and approve other team members network procedures (Release Plans/MOPs) to validate technical accuracy for network changes, and help answer technical questions in Change Management meetings.
  • Provide onsite and after-hours support as needed, participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Execute lab tests to validate solutions, bug fixes, impact analysis, etc.
  • Work with vendors and ISPs for issue escalation, follow-up, maintenance windows, RMA processing, etc.
  • Help create, and adhere to standard operating procedures, checklists, and conform to corporate change-control and security policies.
  • Support the network team with multiple internal tasks (inventory management, HW staging/preparation, peer review, etc.) Create reports per management s request, and on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain documentation for all network systems (LAN/Data center/ Wireless/firewalls/load balancers, etc.) and conduct knowledge transfer to the team.
