We are looking for a Network Engineer (Level 2) in La Vergne, TN (Please only apply if you are local to the Nashville, TN area)He/she must have 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise and HPC networks, including strong hands-on expertise in Ethernet and NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand environments.This role partners closely with customers, vendors, and R&D to design network topologies, resolve complex server and TOR/NIC issues, and ensure scalable, secure, high‑performance network operations.Duties/Responsibilities:- Working on designing, configuring, and managing internetworks including ethernet and Mellanox/NVIDIA InfiniBand in High Performance Computing environments.- Troubleshooting server product networking issues between TOR SW, DAC, and NIC.- Analyze the failures and collaborate with R&D team to find out the root cause.- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)- Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.- Monitor network performance and integrity.- Create, oversee, and test security measures.- Maintain complete technical documentation.- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.- Research, implement, install, develop, and maintain all network operations including routers, firewalls, switches, access, servers, and network facilities.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:-local to the Nashville area- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.- 5+ years hands-on experience with infrastructure engineering with enterprise network technologies including InfiniBand networks.- Strong experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Ethernet and InfiniBand networks. - Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.- Good understanding of computer systems and other products and services- Solid background in network administration and architecture- In-depth understanding of communication and routing protocols- Familiarity with access control models and network security- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools- Solid understanding of network operating systemsNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Professional certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)Compensation is based on experience
