Job Role: Network Infrastructure Engineer (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)

Duration: 6 months

Location: St. Carlos, CA - On-site 5 days a week 8-5 – NO flexibility on this - the candidate may need to go to South San Francisco, and Pleasanton at times as well.

Rate: Around $60-$65/hr. on C2Cor $55/hr. on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Network Engineer to support and maintain network infrastructure across existing and new facilities. The primary focus of this role will be on configuring, deploying, and maintaining switches and routers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with enterprise networking equipment and be comfortable operating in a dynamic lab and building deployment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain network switches and routers across multiple locations
• Support network infrastructure deployment for new and existing buildings
• Perform switch stacking, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Modify and reconfigure network devices as lab environments frequently change
• Assist in network infrastructure setup, upgrades, and expansion projects
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure network reliability and performance
• Maintain network documentation including configurations and diagrams
• Support day-to-day network operations and resolve network incidents

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience
• Strong experience with switches and routers configuration and deployment
• Experience working with the following technologies:
• Cisco
• Juniper
• Palo Alto
• Meraki
• Experience with switch stacking and network infrastructure deployment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting enterprise or lab network environments
• Ability to work onsite full-time (no remote flexibility)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-building network environments
• Experience with network infrastructure deployment projects
• Relevant certifications such as:
• CCNA
• CCNP
• JNCIA / JNCIP (Preferred)
