RMC is hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer to support our customer in NSWC Dahlgren VA. The selected applicant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure networks within a fast-paced DoD environment.

The selected applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading middleware and/or infrastructure support teams
  • Managing multiple IT environments to include server and cloud-based platforms
  • Implementing and managing secure build techniques, tools and practices of DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
  • Configure and manage network switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and routers. Prefer knowledge with Juniper and Cisco.
  • Set-up and management of Virtual and Cloud-based networks to include VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure.
  • Ability to support F5 load balancer.
  • Management of Active Directory and Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS).

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED AND ten (10+) years of experience in Information Security with a focus on network, application and architecture, in large multi-platform environments.
  • Five (5) years experience in WAF device configuration and implementation.
  • Strong F5 skillset - Preferably F5 Certified Technology Specialist or Certified Solution Expert, F5 Edge Protection, Experience in F5 LTM - VIP, Server Pools, Health Checks, Strong experience in customizing Application Delivery with rules, Understanding of NAT (Network Address Translation) and SNAT (Source Network Address Translation), Managing application health and server status, SSL Offloading, TLS security and cipher management, BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) in a DoD environment.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in providing high level network design and implementation skills and combine technical intelligence with communication and presentation abilities.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in leading a project in Design, Implementation, and Support.
  • Two (2) years’ DNS experience with understanding of DDoS mitigation practices.
  • Experience in the setup and management of Virtual and Cloud-based networks. This includes VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure. VMware and Microsoft certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support with Two-Factor Authentication.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE or equivalent) or Level 3 (CASP, CISSP, or equivalent) is required.
  • Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certification is required.
  • Juniper Network Expert (JNCIE-SEC) OR Cisco Expert (CCIE Security) Certifications is required.

Required Clearance:

  • A DoD INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to start.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance. Selected applicant may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

*Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 annually.
