Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated NOC Technician to join our team and provide 24x7x365 monitoring and technical support for network operations. The ideal candidate will handle real-time network monitoring, issue triage, and escalation management across critical systems and infrastructures. This individual will serve as a frontline responder, utilizing troubleshooting tools, documentation, and escalation protocols to maintain system uptime and performance. Key Responsibilities:Monitor all critical network systems and respond to alerts in a 24/7 operations center environment.Answer incoming customer support calls and log incidents in ticketing systems.Perform initial diagnosis, triage, and resolution using runbooks and standard operating procedures.Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2/Tier 3 teams and ensure timely resolution.Maintain ticket ownership from creation to closure, ensuring updates and notifications are properly communicated.Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external customers for issue resolution and status updates.Ensure accurate shift handovers by documenting open issues and ongoing incident management.Maintain awareness of SLA expectations and incident prioritization guidelines. Education & Certifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (required).Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper JNCIA are a plus. Skills & Experience:1–2 years of experience in a telecommunications or network support environment.Knowledge of networking concepts including:Layer 2/3 switching & routing, IP subnetting, BGP, IPv6.SONET, DWDM, and dark fiber technologies.Familiarity with equipment from vendors like:Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, MRV.Proficiency in using NMS/EMS tools for network monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills.
