Role Overview :
We are seeking a Network Tools Support Engineer (L1) with strong administrator-level expertise in Network Management and Monitoring tools. The role focuses on day-to-day operational support, monitoring, reporting, automation, and performance optimization of enterprise network tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing NMS platforms and coordinating with TAC teams to ensure tool stability and service availability.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Monitoring & Management
Administer and support Network Management Systems (NMS) such as Spectrum and Performance Manager
Manage device discovery, addition, deletion, grouping, and location mapping within NMS tools
Ensure accurate discovery of all network elements and timely cleanup of obsolete/unwanted elements
Monitor network health, performance, and availability using configured dashboards
Tools Administration (Admin-Level)
Packet Flow & Traffic Analysis:
Admin-level understanding of packet flow, sniffing, and traffic analysis using NetFlow Analyzer (NFA)
Reporting & Analytics:
Admin-level expertise in reporting solutions such as CABI
Design, manage, and publish customized operational and business reports
Configuration Backup & Automation:
Administer Backbox for configuration backups, compliance, and automation
Monitoring & Analytics Tools:
Support Verint and other monitoring tools for service visibility and analytics
Operations & ITIL Alignment
Configure and manage thresholds in alignment with ITIL standards
Manage and maintain all service-related dashboards
Handle day-to-day operational issues related to deployed network tools
Generate reports on time as per business and operational requirements
Performance Optimization & Automation
Fine-tune tools to improve performance, accuracy, and scalability
Ensure maximum utilization of available automations and integrations within existing tools
Participate in transformation initiatives and adoption of new tools and automation technologies
Incident & Vendor Coordination
Perform L1 support and troubleshooting for network tools-related issues
Coordinate with relevant TAC and vendor support teams for unresolved or complex issues
Track issues to closure and ensure minimal service impact
DR & Continuity
Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) activities for network tools
Ensure documentation and readiness for DR scenarios
