The Outpatient Neurologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological disorders in an ambulatory clinical setting. This physician delivers high-quality, patient-centered care focused on long-term disease management, prevention, and coordination of care without inpatient or call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions in an outpatient setting
* Diagnose and treat disorders such as headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, stroke follow-up, and cognitive disorders
* Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
* Interpret neurological tests and diagnostic studies, including EEG, EMG/NCS, and neuroimaging, as applicable
* Provide ongoing follow-up care and chronic disease management
* Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
* Coordinate care with primary care providers and other specialists
* Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
* Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education activities
Requirements
Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
