A confidential plaintiff-side employment litigation practice is seeking an associate attorney to support a busy California employment docket, including wage and hour, discrimination, whistleblower, and related claims. This is a 100% litigation role suited to an attorney who enjoys writing, ownership of matters, and working in a high-trust environment. WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUT 100% employment litigation focused on employee-side matters (open to candidates transitioning from employer-side work). No billable hour requirement. Additional earning potential through discretionary annual bonuses and a commission-based structure for attorneys who originate cases. Writing-forward practice where strong briefs and motion work are valued (writing sample required during the process). THE ROLE Handle all phases of employment litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice. Draft and revise demand letters, complaints, written discovery, and substantive motions. Support deposition preparation and strategy, including outlines and exhibit organization. Assist with settlement strategy and participation in mediations and negotiations. Work across matters involving wage and hour, discrimination/harassment/retaliation, whistleblower claims, and related labor and employment issues. LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Location: In office 4 days/week (with some flexibility). Schedule: In office 4 days/week (with some flexibility). REQUIREMENTS Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership. 1 to 4 years of experience; employment law experience preferred. Professional maturity and emotional discipline in a high-trust, high-responsibility environment. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Experience representing employees in employment matters (or employer-side experience with a clear interest in transitioning to employee-side litigation). Interest in business development and case origination (commission structure available). COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Discretionary annual bonuses.
