A confidential plaintiff-side employment litigation practice is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is built for an employment litigator who wants meaningful client impact, hands‑on case responsibility, and a path to stepping into independent case management within approximately 6 to 12 months.

THE ROLE
Manage employment litigation matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour disputes.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and substantive briefs.
Lead written discovery, develop document strategy, and prepare for depositions.
Take and defend depositions and participate in court conferences.
Support mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation as needed.
Provide direct client counseling, develop case strategy, and maintain ownership of deadlines and next steps.

Compensation:
Base salary range: $150,000 to $180,000
REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
5+ years of legal experience with a meaningful focus on employment law and litigation.
Ability to develop into independently managing and handling cases within approximately 6 to 12 months.
Strong legal writing skills and willingness to provide writing samples during the application process.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Commitment to a plaintiff-side employment law practice.
Strong professional stability and consistent tenure history.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
Comfort collaborating across matters with multiple attorneys and practice leaders.
Experience handling employment-related disputes from intake through resolution.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
