The consultant will lead an initiative to replace a legacy application and environment that is end of life and support. The resource will evaluate system and environment and perform project analysis; gather requirements and lead team.

Note: Hybrid - Need a local contractor who is available to come into the office for meetings. Contractor will work remotely most of the time.

Must have Excellent verbal, written communication skills.

The consultant will be responsible for:

-evaluating existing application andenvironment that are end of life and support.

-Taking the lead and participating in all aspectsof the planning, business process improvement, development and implementationof the replacement of the legacy application.

There resource is expected toevaluate current system and environment and develop and maintain project plans,communication plan. They will also be responsible for execution, monitoring,controlling and closure of the project to control risk and minimize scheduleimpact.

The resource is expected to befamiliar with project management and ensure optimization of resources. Resourcewill:

-Define system and applicationarchitecture and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solvingability to organization.

- Consult with client to defineneed or problem, conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtaindata, and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizingknowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or fieldof specialization.

The Senior Consultant may lead anddirect the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude isexpected.

Typically reports to and/orreceives strategic direction from an executive or a manager. Coordinate workwith other IT professionals on system development teams. Generally aware of newdevelopments in industry and process and has ability to apply them to work asappropriate. Proficient in more than one IT architectural discipline defined asinformation technology, computer programming, computer security, computersystems analysis, database management, information systems, internetapplications and development, software development, and related fields. Advisesclient on alternate methods of solving need or problem or recommends specificsolution. Mentor and coach peers and subordinates. Provide knowledge transferto peers and subordinates. RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 8 to 15 yrs. PREFERREDEDUCATION: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study or advanceddegree
