Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (7:00 AM start)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Overtime Rate: All-inclusive rate + $7 (after 40 hours per week)
On-Call Rate: $4 per hour pager
Holiday Rate: All-inclusive rate + $7
Travel Requirements: Must live outside of a 75-mile radius from the facility (straight-line distance, not driving distance).

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, team-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week contract position. This role requires at least two years of current CNA experience in a hospital or long-term care setting and at least one previous 13-week travel assignment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong focus on patient care. The CNA will be expected to provide direct patient care while ensuring safe, timely, and patient-centered services in line with the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily activities like hygiene, positioning, and ambulation.
  • Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, input/output, and test results.
  • Assist with the removal of peripheral IVs and application/removal of restraints under the direction of the RN.
  • Perform bedside testing such as Glucometry.
  • Assist in transporting patients, specimens, blood products, and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness in patient care areas, stock medical supplies, and maintain equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Complete basic clerical tasks, including answering phones and managing documentation.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and patient care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital or long-term care experience in the CNA role.
  • At least 1 previous 13-week travel assignment completed.
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety).
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred, but on-site training available.
  • Must be able to work on call, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must adhere to the 75-mile radius rule (no local travelers).

Additional Information:

  • Time off requests must be disclosed at the time of submission to be considered for approval; requests after acceptance will not be approved.
  • Travelers will float to alternate locations within 20 miles of their assigned site as needed.
  • Scrubs required, but not provided by the facility.
  • No holiday RTO will be approved for travelers.
