Northshore Commercial Service Electrician

Base Pay $22.00 - $30.00 / Hour Employee Type Non-Exempt - Full Time Description A-1 Electrical Contractors Inc. is currently expanding its electrical specialists' team. A-1 is seeking an experienced commercial service electrician to join our service team supporting our Greater New Orleans and North Shore clients on a full-time basis. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system. Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components. Technology inclined. Skilled in both verbal and written communication. Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in restricted spaces amounting to static postures/positions which must be held for extended periods of time. Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and take emergency calls. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems independently. Able to read One Line and Schematic Drawings. Requirements and Qualifications Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes. Electrical Service projects. Ability to read blueprints. Must be able to comply to a criminal background check and drug test. Preferred CDL class A license OSHA 10 certified Physical Requirements Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
