Job Title: NPD Engineer with Valves
Location: Export, PA

We're looking to increase our engineering support at our Dormont facility in Export, PA, USA. Dormont manufactures flexible stainless-steel gas connectors for natural gas and liquid propane, primarily serving the Food Service Industry. We'd like to request Onward's assistance in identifying one (1) engineer with working knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Material Science & Compatibility:

• Corrosion resistance: Exposure to cleaning agents, moisture, and food-grade environments
• Gas compatibility: Natural gas, propane, and any additives
• Temperature tolerance: High-temperature applications from cooking equipment

Mechanical Design Principles:

• Connector geometry: Leak-free designs with quick-disconnect features
• Flexibility and durability: Experience with bend and flex testing
• Load and stress analysis: Movement, pressure, and thermal expansion considerations

Testing & Validation Protocols:

• Leak testing: Pressure decay, bubble testing, or mass spectrometry
• Cycle testing: Repeated connection/disconnection durability
• Thermal and vibration testing: Simulating real-world kitchen conditions

Regulatory & Safety Standards:

• Familiarity with ANSI Z21.69 / CSA 6.16
• NSF certification requirements
• UL / CSA / CE markings for NG and LP applications

Gas Flow & Pressure Dynamics:

• Flow rate calculations and pressure drop analysis
• Pressure ratings: Operating and burst pressure design
• Orifice sizing and restriction analysis for flow control and safety
