SENIOR HARDWARE PROGRAM MANAGER

We seek a Senior Hardware Program Manager to drive hardware product development programs from concept to production. This role focuses on managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, overseeing prototypes, and collaborating with contract manufacturers to ensure successful hardware product launches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • NPI Program Management: Oversee hardware development through all product lifecycle stages with a focus on NPI execution.
  • Prototype Development: Manage prototype builds, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with hardware engineering teams, product management, and contract manufacturers to align on deliverables.
  • Manufacturing Oversight: Lead contract manufacturers through product builds, addressing technical issues and production risks.
  • Risk & Issue Resolution: Anticipate project challenges, resolve issues, and implement contingency plans.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Present regular project updates to executive leadership, focusing on progress, milestones, and risks.


DAY-TO-DAY BREAKDOWN:

  • 50% - Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with hardware teams on schedules, prototypes, milestones, and technical deliverables.
  • 25% - Internal Reporting: Report on project timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and updates to upper management.
  • 25% - External Partner Engagement: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure smooth prototype builds, production alignment, and issue resolution.


MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of hardware product development experience in NPI program management.
  • Expertise in NPI & PCB Development: Familiar with PCB manufacturing and hardware product lifecycle management.
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Smartsheets, and project management tools (Agile experience preferred).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Liquid Cooling Experience or exposure to advanced networking hardware.
  • PMP or MBA Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with networking, data center hardware, or enterprise product development.
