  • Schedule: Monday- Friday | 8:00am- 4:30pm
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a radiologist or physician. This position is responsible for preparing, calibrating, and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as prescribed.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using gamma cameras, PET scanners, and related equipment.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure adherence to all radiation safety protocols.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate documentation in the PACS/RIS systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical use, quality control, and radiation exposure.
  • Assist in scheduling, patient instruction, and procedure preparation.
  • Perform equipment quality control, calibration, and minor troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and institutional regulations governing nuclear medicine.
  • Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout all procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other technologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field from an accredited program.

Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Certification/License/Registration:

  • ARRT-N (Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine) OR
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB).
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
