Job Overview Numerical Control Multiple Tool - Milling Machine Operator – join our Fabrication team in Everett and Renton, Washington. You will operate advanced milling machines with precision, maintain safety protocols, adjust machinery, interpret technical documents, and uphold safety and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust numerically controlled milling machines, using control media, program documents, fixtures, and cutting tools or manual data entry.
Obtain information from drawings, documents, sketches, and verbal instructions to prepare machining operations.
Make necessary preparations and adjustments, installing cutting tools during machining cycles as authorized.
Use measuring instruments and gauges to check cutting tools and parts for conformance to specifications.
Assist planners or programmers in determining the final NC program as authorized.
Mount and check cutting tools in holders, ensuring proper loading in machine magazines or spindles.
Initiate corrective action requests for machine malfunctions and detect faulty tools, taking action per shop practices.
Load, preload, and manually position fixtures at program stops.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards Lifting 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs; movements include reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. Working in environments with contact to metals, solvents, coolants, moving parts, sharp cutters, and potential slips; noise levels may vary. Personal safety gear required.
Basic Qualifications 1+ year experience using precision measuring tools.
1+ year experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs.
1+ year experience using a computer for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office, or other specialized applications.
1+ year experience reading and interpreting blueprints, assembly instructions, or drawings.
1+ year experience operating 3‑, 4‑, or 5‑axis NC/CNC machine tools.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with and around hazardous materials while using proper protective equipment.
Pay $31.32/hour, with potential to earn up to $59.47/hour under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
