Job Summary

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse Manager (RN) to provide leadership oversight for intensive care services across multiple clinical areas. This role is responsible for implementing best-practice care models, managing clinical operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement best-practice ICU care models and patient care delivery systems

  • Oversee ICU operations across multiple units or locations

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and competency oversight for nursing staff

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Manage staffing, resource utilization, equipment, supplies, and medications

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, patient safety, and a secure clinical environment

  • Address and resolve patient, family, and care-related concerns

  • Maintain clinical expertise and perform hands-on clinical duties as required

Required Qualifications
  • Active California RN License

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Minimum 5 years of ICU or acute patient care experience

  • Minimum 4 years of nursing leadership or management experience

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

  • ANCC certification in a related specialty

  • Experience in healthcare operations or business management

Skills & Competencies
  • ICU clinical leadership and operational management

  • Staff supervision, mentoring, and performance management

  • Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

  • Resource planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
