Documents pertinent information in patient charts.Diagnose and treat acute health problems.Provides counseling and education to meet patient needs.Prescribe medications and other treatments.Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab work and x-rays. Provide well-child care, including screening and immunizations.Provide health maintenance care of adults, including annual physicals.Makes appropriate referrals.Assists with patient phone assessments, triage and disposition.Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals as needed.Participates in continues quality improvement.
