Nurse Practitioner – Part‑Time – Sun River Health, Beacon, NY Job Type: Part‑Time Hourly Salary: $74.46 - $78.07 Sign‑On Bonus: $3,500 (terms and conditions apply) Company Overview: Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non‑Profit Health Center serving underserved communities across NY. We provide primary, dental, pediatric, OB‑GYN, and behavioral health care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Takes histories, performs physical examinations, gives immunizations, and provides patient education and counseling. Orders lab work, draws blood for lab work, and performs some lab tests (e.g., wet prep microscopic exams). Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses and consults with physicians regarding medication, chronic illness, and referrals when appropriate. Maintains legible and appropriate documentation, reviews records periodically, does follow‑up on abnormal pap smears and reportable STDs. Attends case conferences, provider meetings, quality improvement programs, and team assignments. Attends continuing education programs to increase skills and knowledge. Identifies and categorizes each patient’s age‑specific needs. Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines. Ensures safe performance, meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards. Minimum Education Requirement: Master’s Degree Minimum Work Experience: 5–8 years; including 4 years in a large medical practice with increasing responsibility. Preferred Experience: 8+ years Minimum Licensure: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State; CPR/BLS certification. Required Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures for nurse practitioners. Competence in delivering preventive health education. Ability to collaborate with health‑center staff to maintain high quality standards. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
