Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
  • Help patients move, transfer, or reposition in beds or wheelchairs
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
  • Observe patients for changes in condition and report concerns to nurses or physicians
  • Assist with feeding and hydration when needed
  • Maintain patient hygiene and clean living environments
  • Help patients use medical equipment such as walkers or wheelchairs
  • Support nurses during medical procedures and treatments
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

Requirements

BLS through AHA or RQI

Highschool diploma or Post secondary Education in health or human services

1-2 years of customer service or health related experience
