This position will be working with the Cancer Center - The Department is looking for candidates with Infusion experience! JOB DESCRIPTION: The scope of responsibility and accountability for the Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (NPDP) aligns with professional standards and continuously evolves to meet the demands of the practice setting. The NPDP is a registered nurse (RN) with NPD practice judgement and expertise who influences professional role competence and growth of learners in a variety of settings with a desired outcome of improved population health. The term "practitioner" is used in this specialty only in conjunction with NPD as a title. (Maloney & Harper, 2021, p. 29) Nursing Professional Development Practitioner I, Outpatient works closely with the Coordinator of Clinical Services, Medical Group to coordinate the education, training, and professional development of the clinical staff in all Medical Group clinics. Coordinates outpatient clinical orientation, competency development and maintenance, orientation programs and in-services. In addition, this position will assist with JCAHO continual readiness planning and assessment, data audits, and policy and procedure development. Requires some travel within the state to off site satellite locations. EDUCATION: Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. BSN required. Master's degree in nursing education preferred. Certification in clinical practice/specialty practice preferred. For Central NPDPs: BSN Required Nursing Professional Development Board Certification required or is currently eligible to sit for this certification. 2 years in a department-based (unit or clinic) nursing professional development practitioner role is strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE: Experience as a clinical preceptor required. 5 years of nursing experience required. 5 years of nursing experience in the applicable clinical specialty strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
