As Nursing Support Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the nursing department and the administrative team.Assist with set-up and scheduling of appointments for patients, updating appointment calendar and patient schedules as needed; input nursing activities into patient schedulesKeep portable files up-to-dateAnswer the Nursing station phone; receive and transcribe phone messagesNotify family members of new orders, appointments, etc.Set up and break down medical charts at admit/discharge; file forms in chart and assist with maintaining chart orderAssist with taking and documenting vitals; schedule diagnostic testing for labs and imagingHandle all medical records requests and request medical records from other facilities; reorder patient prescriptions and pick up medications when neededAssist nursing staff as needed with patient care needs, including response to call bells; assist with therapeutic pass forms for weekend passesUpdate daily report forms and medical meeting formsKeep nursing stations organized; maintain inventory and order nursing supplies and equipmentAssist with 1:1 charge sheet completion; make copies of forms, fax information, and communicate information to charge nurse and Director of Nursing Assist Administration Team as needed when directed by Administrator/PDReview and/or set up admission packets for completenessPrepare for medical meetings - gather all paperwork as needed for Medical Director, including vital signs, medication lists, all lab work, and other paperwork to be signedAssist nurses with medication pass as needed after completing medication trainingMaintain patient confidentiality and treat all persons with respectQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededExperience with Windows-based computer systems preferredSpanish speaking preferredStrong communication skills and exceptional attention to detailReliable, responsible, and caring natureCurrent driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if driving on the behalf of the company or providing transportation to individuals receiving servicesOther training as required by state such as CPR, First Aid, Behavioral Intervention Techniques, and QMRP/QIDP designation; licensure as required by stateWhy Join Us?Full compensation/benefits package for full-time employees401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holiday payComplex work adding value to the organization's mission alongside a great team of coworkersEnjoy job security with nationwide career development and advancement opportunitiesCome join our amazing team of committed, caring professionals.
