Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OBIEE Installation & Configuration Specialist to lead the setup, deployment, and maintenance of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition environments. This role focuses on infrastructure readiness, application configuration, and ensuring optimal performance across development, UAT, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup
  • Install and configure OBIEE components (BI Server, Presentation Services, WebLogic) on Linux/Windows platforms.
  • Set up clustered environments and configure load balancing.
  • Integrate OBIEE with Oracle Database and other data sources.
• Configuration & Administration
  • Configure security, roles, and privileges at the application level.
  • Manage repository and integration services across environments.
  • Perform daily health checks and monitor BI servers for performance.
• Maintenance & Support
  • Apply patches and upgrades for OBIEE and WebLogic.
  • Troubleshoot application and server issues, including mount point and scheduler problems.
  • Coordinate with DBA and infrastructure teams for planned/unplanned outages.
• Migration & Deployment
  • Handle migration of repository objects from Development to UAT and Production.
  • Support deployments and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Documentation & Best Practices
  • Maintain installation guides, configuration documents, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to support teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in OBIEE installation and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g/12c) and connectivity setup.
• Expertise in WebLogic Server configuration and tuning.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with security configuration and role-based access control.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OBIEE RPD migration and catalog management.
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (Shell, Python).
• Exposure to related BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and integration scenarios.
• Oracle certifications (OBIEE or Oracle Database).
