Summary:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable observability systems to monitor and analyze complex software applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement monitoring, logging, and tracing systems (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)

Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts for real-time system visibility

Collaborate with developers to instrument applications for observability

Analyze and troubleshoot system issues using observability tools

Optimize system performance, latency, and resource utilization

Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance

Automate observability workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, SRE, Development)

Required Skills:

Experience with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Open Telemetry)

Programming skills (e.g., Python, Java)

Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, containerization)

Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation

Familiarity with Chaos Engineering and fault injection

Knowledge of machine learning and anomaly detection

Certification in observability or related field (e.g., CNCF)
