DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities:
Carries out the policies of the Occupational and Preventive Medicine Department by providing health care
Including detection of disease with emphasis on prevention by means of teaching and counseling
Conducts health assessments for employees with an emphasis on prevention in which detection
Counseling and health education is implicit
Consults employees and family members regarding international travel by reviewing itinerary
Risks, immunization requirements, general education and prevention measures, participates in committees involving health, safety, environment and ergonomics.
Requires skills in assessment, intervention, motivational interviewing, referral and follow-up.

Skills required:
Professional Registered Nurse licensed in the State they are working in
Three to five years clinical nursing experience
Two years of occupational health experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Certified as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist preferable (COHN-S)
