Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will develop and implement personalized treatment plans to aid patients in regaining well-being and independence. This role involves collaboration with a team of doctors, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' conditions and develop tailored treatment plans involving exercises and/or prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; instruct patients' families or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
- Document patient care in compliance with Kindred Healthcare, Inc. regulations, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including the upkeep of equipment.
- Make presentations to support marketing efforts, participate in team conferences and in-service sessions.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred.
- Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
