Pay Package breakdown:
Weekly gross: $2,280
Stipend: $1,288
W2 : $24.80
Duration: 13 week
Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Summary:

Hiring for skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation and therapeutic intervention to patients within an acute care setting. The OT will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality occupational therapy services, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and legal guidelines. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic programs aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and standards of practice.
  • Serve as a patient advocate and uphold the ethical standards of the profession.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Required)
  • Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Texas (Required)
  • Certifications: BLS (Required), ACLS (Preferred)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
    • Acute care experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
  • Travel Assignments: Not required but preferred (minimum 1 assignment preferred)
