Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. The therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with physical, developmental, or cognitive conditions that affect their ability to perform daily activities. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage a workload split between inpatient and outpatient care environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to assess functional limitations and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

  • Provide therapy interventions to improve mobility, coordination, strength, cognitive function, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Work with patients recovering from injury, illness, surgery, or chronic conditions to restore functional independence.

  • Deliver therapy services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with approximately equal distribution of workload.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to improve daily functioning.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in the facility's medical record system.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.

Work Schedule
  • Variable schedule, including weekend coverage as needed

  • Holiday coverage may be required

Minimum Requirements
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California

  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience

  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required

  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
