  • Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing therapy programs to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. This role requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients to achieve individualized therapy goals.
  • Modify treatment plans and goals as patient progress and condition change.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation and enter charges appropriately.
  • Maintain knowledge of reimbursement processes relevant to the practice setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the care team.
  • Educate patients, family members, and staff on therapeutic techniques and goals.
  • Supervise ancillary staff, students, and volunteers as needed.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the growth of colleagues by sharing clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to all organizational, state, and national regulatory guidelines.
  • Align work activities with system-wide goals to support overall organizational success.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Experience:

  • New graduates welcome to apply.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Occupational Therapist (OT) license (valid in Texas).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
