PlanOTis a specialist occupational therapy service in Perth, Western Australia, with a focus on complex home modifications, home automation, assistive technology and brain injury rehabilitation.An exciting, flexible and rewarding opportunity exists to join our team of experienced occupational therapists based at our Carlisle office.

Who are we looking for?

We have an opportunity for an OT with skills in either Assistive Technology prescription and / or Complex Home Modifications to join our team. You will be provided with supervision and support to manage your caseload.Your mentors will be Claire and Maria who are both highly skilled therapists with a teaching background.


We are seeking an occupational therapist with some experience who is looking to specialise in the area of community disability.Our caseload consists of people who have spinal cord injuries, traumatic amputations, acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions.While experience in this area is desirable, we are prepared to support, teach and nurture a therapist who brings the right attitude and worker skills.You will have well developed clinical reasoning, amazing communication skills and a can do attitude.You will have a thirst for a varied and complex clinical caseload.In this role you will be responsible for complex home modifications and prescription of complex assistive technology while working closely with people in the disability community.


This opportunity will suit a highly organised Occupational Therapist who is able to collaborate with a like minded team.You will be mentored by a recognised leader in the complex home modifications field in the Perth occupational therapy community, and a leader in the brain injury rehabilitation field.

The role requires:

  • Excellent assessment skills, lateral and creative thinking to determine solutions to address your client's complex needs.
  • A proven ability to communicate and build rapport with all cross sections of the community.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills are needed to produce quality reports and funding applications.
  • A strong client focus as you will be working to achieve their goals.You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside a team of people all working to achieve the best outcomes.


You will:

  • Hold current AHPRA registration.
  • Hold a current drivers' licence and have access to your own vehicle (allowance paid).
  • Ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant field; home modifications OR assistive technology OR cognitive rehabilitation.
  • Hold a valid NDIS worker screening, or a willingness to obtain.
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check.
  • Hold a current National Police Clearance.
  • Have evidence of all state and federal mandated vaccinations.


Full time availability is preferred however we will consider a minimum 0.8 FTE.
