This position will assume the role of both Office Manager and Human Resource Manager.  The position will provide administrative support to the CEO and EVP.  They will need to undertake administrative, accounting and logistics tasks. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s human resource functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws, ensuring a positive and productive work environment while aligning HR strategies with the company’s overall business objectives. They will need to be initiative-taking and trustworthy.

  • Provide support to the CEO and EVP, keeping up with schedules, meetings, and maintaining high-level business relationships, send communications on their behalf
  • Provide accounting support to the finance department
  • Input payables and create customer invoices
  • Create and issue vendor purchase orders
  • Provide customer service in resolving customer and vendor issues
  • Provide logistic support, create bill of ladings and coordinate in-coming and out-going shipments, securing dock appointments
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Maintain electronic filing system
  • Maintain employee tracking, payroll, workers compensation and the company 401k plan
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Other duties assigned by management

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting procedures
  • Expert in labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office management software and Intuit QuickBooks
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HR Certification a plus, High School Diploma, 5 years of work experience
