Position: Office Assistant
Description: The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to join their team as the Office Assistant. The Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting and supporting local businesses, tourism, and community development in Josephine
County. We serve as a hub for information, resources, and networking opportunities to enhance the economic and cultural vitality of our community. The Office Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our office and supporting the various programs and initiatives of the Chamber of Commerce. This role requires a candidate with strong administrative and communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the community.
Pay: $17-18 per hour, DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Position type: Part-Time (25-30 hours)
Monday- Friday. Saturdays in the summer.

Job Duties:
- Manage daily office operations, including phone calls, emails, and mail correspondence.
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and technology systems.
- Manage office maintenance and grounds upkeep.
- Develop and maintain efficient filing and record-keeping systems.
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience to visitors.
- Assist visitors with inquiries, maps, brochures, and other resources.
- Assist in volunteer training.
- Maintain member records and coordinate member communication.
- Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, and networking functions.
- Handle event registration, logistics, and follow-up.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Participate in various Chamber meetings, events, and activities.
- Represent the Chamber in a positive image.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Assist President & CEO as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding communication and customer service.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must be a team player and self-motivated.
- Office management and administrative experience preferred.
- Social Media experience.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Passion for promoting local businesses and tourism.
- Must have reliable transportation.
