Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000

Reports to: CFO

About Us:

U.S. Light Energy is searching for an organized and proactive Office Manager to join our New York team working out of our office in Latham, NY. U.S. Light Energy is a growing and dynamic company in the solar renewable energy industry, focused on Community Solar in the Northeastern United States. We believe that everyone should have access to clean, renewable energy, and the most equitable way to achieve that is through human-scaled Community Solar projects that meet a community's energy and climate goals at the local level. We have more than 550MWs of New York Community Solar projects in development and are currently building out these projects and actively adding additional generation capacity.

Job Description: The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment. This role requires a detail-oriented and resourceful individual with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

Essential functions:

Administrative Duties: Manage calendars, appointments and meetings. Organize and maintain office files, records and important documents. Greet visitors and clients, manage the front desk.

Financial Responsibilities: Prepare and manage the office budget. Monitor and record office expenses.

Human Resources: Assist in scheduling interviews, screening and onboarding. Coordinate training sessions for employees and new hires.

Office Maintenance: Order and maintain office supplies and equipment. Ensure the office environment is clean, safe and well-maintained. Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers and contractors. Coordinate with IT support.

Compliance and Policies: Implement and enforce office policies and procedures. Ensure the office complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Planning: Oversee and manage office projects and initiatives. Identify and implement ways to improve office processes and efficiency.

Miscellaneous: Organize office events, team-building activities and celebrations. Coordinate travel plans. Provide administrative support.

Required education and experience:

Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace).

Familiarity with HR and compliance regulations is a plus.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

5-Day Work Week with Flexible Options
