About the RoleThe Officer – Business Development Commercial (Davao) operates within a competitive and fast-moving market where customer responsiveness and sector knowledge are key to success. The position bridges business development, solution design, and account management, focusing on the unique logistics requirements of Mindanao clients particularly around speed, freshness, and network reliability.The role works closely with Operations, Pricing, and Regional Commercial teams to create tailored logistics solutions that address supply chain challenges for Mindanao fruit exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. The Officer is expected to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, from prospecting to contract closure, while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and execute a business development plan for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) vertical aligned with company targets.Identify and pursue new Business Cargo Owners opportunities in the FMCG sector (domestic and international).Manage a defined portfolio of existing clients, driving upselling and cross-selling initiatives.Lead sales presentations, solution proposals, and pricing coordination in collaboration with the Pricing and Operations teams.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing benchmarks, and emerging opportunities.Maintain an active sales pipeline and regularly update Customer Relationship Manager systems with progress reports and forecasts.Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure service excellence and issue resolution.Coordinate with Finance and Legal on contract preparation, credit review, and compliance.Participate in Request for Quotation/ Request for Proposals and support tender preparation to secure new accounts.Provide regular reports to management on pipeline health, revenue performance, and client feedback.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or MarketingWith 3–5 years of experience in business development, commercial, or account management roles within logistics or freight forwarding.Experience in pipeline management client retention, and commercial proposal preparation and background in end-to-end supply chain solutions preferred.Knowledgeable of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply chain flows, temperature-sensitive cargo, and fast-moving operations.Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Customer Relationship Management tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).Certifications in Sales, Key Account Management, or Supply ChainExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid Driver's licenseEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO)DP World is committed to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
