THIS ASSIGNMENT REQUIRES A HIGHLY SKILLED & EXPERIENCED SURG TECH WITH A WIDE LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE WITH ORTHO, NEURO, VASCULAR, ETC. CANDIDATES THAT LACK A FULL BREADTH OF CURRENT EXPERIENCE WILL NOT RECEIVE CONSIDERATION. Actual weekly hours/shifts will be agreed to/set during the phone interview. Guaranteed weekly hours will be adjusted based on hours agreed to by the ST. Candidates with minimal RTO will receive priority consideration. ST will work 36-40 hours/week (three 12-hr shift or four 10-hr shifts or five 8-hr shifts; start and end times are negotiable), with approximately every 5th weekend as a call weekend (split between Call 1 and Call 2) and 1-2 Calls per week (split between call 1 and call 2). Based upon department need and potential changes in staffing, the call volume could increase. The call requirements will mirror what the current staffing takes week to week. All call requires a 30-minute response time. This occurs from the time of the call, to arriving on site. Also, possible Holiday call rotation may be required if a holiday falls within the ST s contract. This rotation is based on current patient census and staffing, so some variability could be possible to this rotation if census/staffing experiences a significant change. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. BLS required. CST preferred but not required. Excellent critical thinking and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation required.
