Job Posting Title: ON SITE in Whitestown, Indiana Business/Data Analyst Location: USA - Whitestown, Perry Blvd Division: Solutions Time Type: Full Time Position Summary The Data Analyst will join a team to generate insights that will guide our operational strategy and day‑to‑day execution. The role involves gathering customer insights, mining data, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions while working closely with the operations team to shape structure and support the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that materially improve our operational decisions. Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, and statistical models to understand how customers interact with us and identify the best ways to improve the customer experience and meet goals. Collaborate and partner across the organization to develop best practices for the function and advocate improvements in enterprise‑wide tools. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to drive key business decisions while recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis (data integrity, test design, validation, documentation). Work closely with management on important issues and projects; assess and document existing business procedures; develop recommendations for new methods/procedures, implementation plans, schedules, and written reports for evaluation. Maintain recordkeeping database and produce reports. Review reports and recommend productivity and efficiency improvements. Research and analyze comparable organizations/operations. Support business reviews for strategic clients by developing and presenting materials illustrating DSV’s performance and value creation. Analyze business cases and existing data to identify cost‑saving initiatives and develop case studies for presentation to clients. Develop client‑relationship‑management skills through involvement in implementation support, AQP meetings, deep dives, business reviews, etc. Design, develop, and implement IT solutions across functions; work with leaders and clients to analyze and document requirements and implement consistent, standardized solutions. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned. Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary. Skills & Abilities Education & Experience: 2 years’ experience in warehouse or distribution operations preferred, emphasizing logistics or supply chain management, business or sales and marketing. Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months, ranging from mild to moderate. Computer skills: excellent computer skills, especially MS Office Suite (including Excel pivot tables and formulas), Windows, Visio, and ability to learn new systems and tools quickly. Language skills: bilingual is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate and motivate self and others, and comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate across multiple units. Mathematical skills: ability to handle basic statistical control methods. Additional skills: willingness to take personal responsibility, adherence to standards, motivation under pressure, strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, effective communication, multitasking, process improvement focus, and attention to detail. Physical Demands Occasional walking and standing; frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling; constant reaching above shoulder, reaching outward, squatting, or kneeling. Workspace exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; noise level usually low to moderate.
