Job Description:
Primary Focus
- HV safety curriculum and coordinate onsite training regularly.
- HV station reediness (OP810-860, OP270, OP280, OP440)
- Detailed station layout including:
- HV PPE storage
- Boundaries
- Lights/Signals
- Material flow and layout
- Sourcing and procurement of above supplies
- Develop HV station Audits to be completed by TMs
- HV work instruction final audit and updates
- Help develop and source HV battery returnable container that works with inspection process
- Help develop and audit HV battery QC/Control plan
- Define in station test/checks
- Source tools and equipment for checks
- Develop and audit Chassis HV only QC/control plan
- Long term battery storage solution
- Lead development of plan and putting ROM quotes together
- OP280 Commissioning
- Audit and update SWI
- Help development of short-term interface to check all control functions
- Help develop what future state looks like
- Create / Manage/ Report out actions to close known gaps in the process:
- ECU flashing requirements on each battery resolve so this is automatic.
- Battery value stream Working with our corporate safety team to vet out unrealistic FM global requirements or vague requirements that impact our process. I.e. # of batteries we can have in the building, how we store batteries, etc Procedures for handling and staging them, returnable rack design or improvement to shipping containers, and custom tester to make checking the voltage and isolation more seamless.
- HVPDU setup to do ECU flashing in the interim while resolving Item#1 (I believe this is basically done)
- Creating interim work instructions or diagnostic procedures for common faults witnessed during FTX1-3 build and Pilot #1-2
- Propose destructive testing for a battery or pursue testing of some sort to better quantify the hazards created form a thermal runaway.
- Define battery quarantine procedures/equipment/buildings
