Role Sr .NET Developer Location New York, NY (Onsite Role) Duration Contract Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Sr .Net Developer who analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon’s standard development methodology. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific project. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Takes lead for establishing, implementing, and monitoring ‘best practices’ for technical development methodologies and tools. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 3-8 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Responsibilities Develop and maintain back-end services using C# and the .NET framework. Contribute code, tests, automation, application design, architecture, and code reviews to the agile team. Write and optimize SQL Stored Procedures for data access and manipulation. Develop RESTful APIs to support the front end and improve user experience. Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment. Collaborate with Scrum teams in refining user stories and acceptance criteria. Assist with technical issues and work to resolve issues, whether backend, frontend, or database. Contribute to an Agile team that solves complex challenges and builds quality software. Required 10+ years of experience as a .NET Developer Strong knowledge of WCF, Entity Framework, EF Core, RESTful Services, .Net Web API, Advanced Kafka, IBM MQ Experience in integration with multiple back-end systems, Docker container. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL Stored Procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail. NoSQL database experience and RabbitMQ is a plus Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
