Job Description
Under supervision of OR staff, assist in surgery department operations through supplying, stocking, cleaning, assembling, and storing of equipment and supplies while maintaining a clean environment. Transports equipment and supplies as needed.

Performs duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, and recognized professional, quality, patient safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
Fosters positive first impression by ensuring all work areas are organized, clean and project a professional appearance.
Promotes a professional image and acts as an ambassador inside and outside the organization. Takes ownership and demonstrates service excellence principles in all interactions with the patient, physician and others. Ensures patient's safety, dignity and privacy at all times.
Accurately scans and records equipment and supplies to ensure appropriate charges and inventory control.
Optimizes use of supplies, equipment and services, ensuring a high level of clinical care at the lowest cost. Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
Willingly shares knowledge/expertise and assists co-workers. Fosters teamwork and contributes to achievement of team goals. Acts as a resource for co-worker's as appropriate.
